UG130 Preparation for UGPIV with Key Signs

The Preparation for UGPIV with Needling Key Signs course is an overview of how best to prepare for the UGPIV insertion process. The course walks one through the AIDET model for interaction and education; contraindications for the procedure; proper room and equipment set up; how to apply aseptic non touch technique (ANTT) to ultrasound and UGPIV insertion; and reviews where common touch contamination can happen during UGPIV. Lastly the course describes, demonstrates, and reviews each of the needling key signs and skills needed for a successful UGPIV insertion. Upon completion of the course, one will be prepared to set up a successful UGPIV insertion.
